Claire Collier's Love Story August 17th, 2010

I have always been involved in my church..gone on all the youth trips and was at everything they did. The mission trips always had a big impact on me and I loved them. The Fall break of my 10th grade year I went on my first mission trip out of the country…to the Dominican Republic. I was blessed beyond measure! These children that we worked with did more for me than I did for them. I was overwhelmed by the joy they found in Jesus Christ. All schoolyear I had felt God tugging on my heart, for a little bit I didn’t know what it was then I realized God was calling me to missions. I was very reluctant to the call at first. In May I was going with the choir at my church to Texas on a mission trip to work with Mission Arlington. We worked at an outdoor VBS and were with kids that lived in multi-housing communities. We sang in multi-housing communities at night and were able to play with kids, talk with the kids (and adults) about Christ and we had a lot of professions of faith! That week I knew that is right where God wants me…Loving and Serving His people for His kingdom. The Sunday after we got home our Pastor preached on the Holy Spirit and listening to God’s voice when he calls you. There was no doubt in my mind that I need to do missions. Love Revolution is such a wonderful thing to me! (:
