Karly Alexandra's Love Story August 9th, 2010

I am 16 years old and I have been struggling with an eating disorder for 5 years and cutting for 4. I have been hospitalized and other than getting me medically stabe it did not help. I also applied to Mmercy Ministries but i get scared and stopped the application process. A few weeks ago I volunteered at my church’s Vacation Bible School. I had a group of 6 preschoolers and kindergarteners. The first day I was so nervous. Im not very good when it comes to talking about my faith. Well the kids arrived and they were more nervous then i was. So i prayed to God that He would guide my heart and my words, so i could tell them about the love He has for them. Suddenly it was like a weight was lifted. The whole week i didnt think about food once. NOT ONCE! and there was never a day when i wasnt thinking about it. At the end of the week, the parents of the children took my phone number and asked if i could babysit. Since that week i have gotten a therapist and i am really trying to get better. I feel as though i made a difference in their lives, but they made an even bigger one in mine. Thank you Lord for being my Savior, and thank you Natalie for starting this Love Revolution, together we will make a difference in so many lives.
