Revolution is a BIG word. It can even be intimidating. Some of you are asking, “me? start a revolution?” But average, regular, every-day people have always been used throughout history to change the world. Time after time, God used the small, the un-qualified, the “nobody’s”. And He still does. He chooses to use me. And He chooses to use YOU. But this isn’t just a revolution we’re talking about. It’s a LOVE revolution. It’s about living out compassion and standing against injustice. It’s in the little things. Donate your clothes. Visit the elderly. Make a meal. Mow your neighbors lawn. One small act of kindness can bring about HUGE change. Check out the map. Stories of everyday people from all over the world joining the revolution. What’s your story? We want to see you on the map. Don’t do nothing. Do something. Because WE are the Love Revolution.

Barb's Love Story December 30th, 2010

This is a fun activity for children. I collect Nativities from all over the world. I set them out with all the pieces, excluding baby Jesus. Then on Christmas day before we eat, the children (and/or adults) and I take turns going to each display, and we say “Happy Birthday, Baby Jesus” as we place the corresponding baby/manger. It’s a fun tradition with young children, although one year I was asked, “If baby Jesus wasn’t born yet, why isn’t Mary’s tummy bigger?”
