Betsy's Love Story December 30th, 2010

This year, on Christmas morning, we bundled up with our 21-year-old daughter and read ‘The Three Trees’. A story of three trees that dreamed of being and doing certain things. It turned out that they would play a special part in the birth, death and the miracle on rough waters of our King and Savior. It reminds us that His plans for us are greater than any we can dream or imagine. In the afternoon we watched ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ … again a reminder of how we should be grateful for our lives and how vastly we change other lives by living our own.
This year was especially special because we are in the process of adopting the 21-year-old daughter of our hearts. She is a gift we are so thankful for. And as in the movie we watched, hopfully we have, and will continue to for a long time, cherish the changes we and He are making in each other’s lives.
What a way to honor the life He has given us … with His own.
