Autumn Rountree's Love Story May 19th, 2011

I was sexually abused for 16 years by numerous people. I grew up with no self worth as a result. I got into all kinds of addictions to cope with what I was going through. Today, I have 3 years sober and love my life. I talk with other recovering addicts about what I went through and how I got help. I encourage them to talk about it and to seek professional help. Talking about the abuse is not easy but it has been the best thing for my recovery. My dream is to one day have a ranch where people can heal. I am working towards a degree in clinical psychology and a certificate in equine therapy. I am very passionate about horses because they were a big part of my healing process. Women who have gone through any kind of abuse have my heart. My plan ( hopefully Gods plan too) is to work with kids and teenagers who have been through abuse and trauma. Addictions start early and that’s why I want to work with kids. Plus I just love them!
